Strategic Alliance to Introduce pan Asian Spice Paste from Asia to Main Stream Market

Oklahoma City, OK (January 27, 2010) - Food Depot Corporation ( an ethnic groceries online retailer agreed to form a Strategic Alliance with Empire International Inc, of Ontario, CA (exclusive distributor of Asian Home Gourmet for USA Market)to introduce Asian Home Gourmet Spice Pastes from Singapore.

The advantage of working with Food Depot Corporation is its accessibility to all layers of community achieved by providing a complete range of Food and related products. Many Supermarkets carry Asian Home Gourmet Pastes in major cities across USA; however Asian Home Gourmet Spices Paste will not be able to reach the consumers in smaller markets. Supermarkets that carry Asian Home Gourmet Spice Paste often carry certain selections (hot selling items) only, ranging from 10 to 15 Spices Paste; while there are 32 Spice Pastes available from Asian Home Gourmet products line apart from the sauces and cooking kits.

At the 35th Winter Fancy food show Convention in San Francisco, Mr. Richi Widianto and Mr. Khaing Zaw Swe, founders of presented a new marketing idea to Mr. Haznam Osman of Empire International and Ms. Yen Won Tang, Business Development Manager of Asian Home Gourmet of North America, based in Toronto, Canada. The idea was called “2010 Taste of the Month”, which is basically a postcard containing a simple introduction of Asian Home Gourmet products and a 2010 calendar with an assigned complementary AHG Spice Paste for each month. The idea is very simple; any customer of who purchases any Asian Home Gourmet product will get 1 free sachet of the spice of the month (example; January – Japanese Miso Paste Month, February – Indian Korma Paste Month and so on) regardless of the quantity purchased. “Apart from adding value and promoting Asian Home Gourmet products, we also will see an increase in the number of customers who will want to buy from us every month”, said Mr. Widianto. “It is truly a win-win situation for all parties and we hope to promote AHG products to more main stream customers” added Mr. Swe.

The idea was accepted by Ms Tang, who agreed to work closely with to continuously promote the Alliance for the years to come. Mr. Osman proposed to have Lucky draw contest with a grand prize, a free trip to Singapore and Ms Tang expressed a desire to take this proposal to the next level and plan to propose the idea to Singapore Board of Tourism.
